Let's see what Backpackers Hostel-TaipeiChangchun looks like~
It is a new opening Hostel located in Taipei Zhongshan District near Songjiang-Nanjing MRT and Nanjing-Fuxing MRT,
When getting near, I saw the 1st floor of their hostel is a supermarket, the supermarket opens until 11:00pm, so you can buy all your living goods here,
even after 11:00pm, there is convenient store nearby opening 24 hours.(Taiwan is such a convenient place!)
The building looks like an apartment, the purple canopy has the hostel's name shown.
I can go to the glass door by stairs or accessible ramps
from 10pm to 7am I need a room key to get into the hostel, or you can press the doorbell for help.
when I first came in I saw a welcoming area, the right side on the wall is many country's clock times,
and two cute standing posts,
on the left side there is a spiral staircase, in center there is an elevator with transparent glasses,
(but after I come into the elevator, the elevator floor is normal and reliable, just the speed is........... you may consider to take it if your luggage is more than 20kg.)
over the spiral staircase, there are big chunk glasses, with a alphabet "TAIWAN" panel lay on it.
when near the night they would light the bulb on the panel, with the lighting over the head, it looks very welcoming, with a warm feeling.
after I came up I reach the front desk, the painting behind the front desk is very exaggerating,
on the right side there is 3-lined platform showcase,
on the top one there are Taiwan's aboriginals' traditional clothes,
they even have introduction on small paper for every traditional aboriginals.
I like them very much, the sense is very good with delicate fabric.
on the second one there are many countries' flags, there are some miniature of Taiwan landmarks, like Taipei 101, or Chang Kai-shek Memorial Hall,
the lowest one have many traveling advices and pamphlets, they sell the bathroom supplies here.(They offer free shampoo and showel gel as well as hair dryer, but for the rest of the things, you need to bring yourself or buy here, they sell it at a very reasonable price.)
When check-in the front desk staff would remind you some things, they are all cheerful and welcoming,
If I have anything I don't understand, I asked them, and they would response with a smile.
they also have lots recommendation on foods and public transportations.
the staff took me to the room, and told me how to use things in the room.
8-people room-tidy and brightful
12-people room
quadruple room
twin room
single room
then they took me to the toilet and bathroom area, and told me the corridor is like a rectangle, so you can go either left side or right side to reach the bath area.
next to the bath area is the lounge, which is quite big.
I can eat food here and relax myself,
they have many facilities here, like washing machines, drying machines,
there is one projector also. The place is suitable for like 50 people~
To prepare food you can use a microwave or an electric pot.
they even have a juicer! on the top of the showcase there are Taiwan tradition Puppets.
the wall painting here is very vivid and energetic, I can see it everywhere. They said the front desk staff have paintings in some places.
there are many instructions, too. I guess that makes it easier, or you can just ask them how to use.
Inside the room, it looks tidy and clean. If you are sensetive to sounds, you can ask for ear-plugs at front desk for free.
Inside the bed:
curtain, small shelve, 2 universal sockets, safe-box, hanger, bed-light, you can store your luggage beneath.
quadruple room(and up↑) would have a changing place with small shelves where
you can put things, you can change your clothes and make-up here.
(for twin room there is no changing place but still they offer a full-length mirror)
Tidy and clean as well as bathroom and toilet.
Woman Toilet~
there is one little interesting thing, when I walked into lounge, I saw many bird-shaped lights hanged on the top,
one guest asked me:"you know what that is?"
I said :"guess it's a bat."
she laughed, she said everyone thought so, actually its a seagull,
they are seagulls return from the sea in the dusk.
I can see those seagull lights in lounge and lobby, I think they are one of the characters in this hostel, they are so cute.
they said it's a special-design and you can't see it elsewhere.(so I have photoed some more pics)
there are some CandyBird's wall paintings here also, its an industrial style mixed some hippie-ism in it.
hard to forget.
The staff are all nice and chatty, they offered me many suggestions.
It's nice to meet someone in your jouney,
hope you will find the same feeling when staying in this hostel.
(the bird light in front of every guest rooms, remind you to go back and take a good rest~)
